Why Your Wedding Invitation Needs a Map (and How to Add One)

The most common question on the wedding day

"Where exactly is it?" In many parts of Cambodia, addresses are hard to follow and venues can be down small streets or in the countryside. Without a map, guests call the family for directions, often while you are busy with the ceremony.

Add a map pin

Drop a pin on the exact entrance of the venue in Google Maps and share that link on your invitation. Check it yourself by opening the link on a phone and following the route.

One pin per location

If the morning ceremonies are at the family home and the reception is at a restaurant or hall, give each location its own pin. Label them clearly so guests do not go to the wrong place.

Add simple written directions

A short description helps guests who are not comfortable with maps:

  • A nearby landmark, such as a pagoda, market or petrol station
  • Which side of the road the entrance is on
  • The colour of the tent or gate

Mention parking

Let guests know where to park cars and motorbikes, especially for large evening receptions.

Think about tuk-tuk and taxi drivers

Many guests will arrive by tuk-tuk or ride-hailing app. A shareable map link is easy for them to forward to their driver.

Maps built in

Every Theapka invitation can include your venue locations, so guests tap once and get directions straight to your door.
